Heey!
Since yesterday evening, I am in Colombo! There's Arqam, my first own real Couchsurfing host, a very cheerful young guy who works most passionated at Leo Burnett company, and he read my palm lines an it was almost spooky how right he was.... he's really good with people!
I'm staying with his friend Farha and her family - her mother Mumthaz, her father and her little brother. Mumthaz is great - a reeeaal Mama! She came from Pakistan, has been to many countries, speaks 6 languages, Pashtu, Urdu, Sinhala, Tamil, another language spoken in India that I can't spell, and a little English. We had a little Indian fashion show ;)

Oaaaww, I ate Rotti with cheese and vegetables... mmmmwwaahhh delicious!! I could die for the food here. All healthy and nutritious and LECKER!

And what's more: In Colombo, the spirit is so different from Kurunegala. I can walk the streets alone and in shorts without anyone giving me puzzled or strange glances. People are used to tourists here, and the lifestyle is quite multicultural.

Another thing: no mosquitoes here! It's beacuse of the sea - always a salty breeze blowing - actually, the shore is only about 200m away and when you stand on the balcony, you can here the sound of the waves crashing on the shore.

A bad thing: cockroaches! iiiiiiiiiiiieh :D
